First making his Team USA debut in 2007 at the IIHF World U18 Championship, former New York Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh would experience his first taste of the Olympics at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games with the United States, registering 2 points in 6 games. Offered here, is this Team USA Heritage jersey worn by McDonagh at the 2014 Olympic Games. Made by Nike with a swoosh logo and size “56” designation screened-on inside the collar above an IIHF “Authentic Collection” label, the front of the tie-neck garment, modeled after the jerseys worn by the gold medal winning 1960 squad, is decorated with “USA” in drop shadow blue-over-red letters diagonally down the chest with the USA shield crest affixed over the left breast and the Nike Swoosh over the right. The sleeves and verso have had McDonagh’s number “27” sewn to them in matching blue-over-red tackle twill numerals while “McDonagh” has been heat-pressed to the affixed matching nameplate in single layer blue twill letters. Featuring a “Sochi 2014” Olympics crest over the rear hem, the jersey remains in beautiful condition, showing no obvious signs of game-wear as the jersey was worn in just the warm-up and the first period on February 16th, 2014 vs Slovenia. A MeiGray tag numbered “USA09090” is sewn inside the rear hem alongside the heat pressed Nike Team Sports barcode and is accompanied by a matching USA Hockey LOA.
