The 40th overall pick by the Rangers at the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Michael Sauer would spend his entire 98 game National Hockey League career with the Blueshirts spread over three seasons before injury troubles cut his career short. Offered here, is this jersey worn by Sauer during the 2011-12 season. Made by Reebok, a size “58” flag tag is affixed to the collar, with a Rangers barcode affixed above along with a Steiner Sports hologram while NHL and Reebok crests reside over the front and reverse necklines respectively. The front of the tie-neck jersey, reinforced at the collar, is decorated with “Rangers” diagonally down the chest in blue-over-red drop-shadow tackle twill with Sauer’s number “38” sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material. “Sauer” is spelt across the affixed arching nameplate on the reverse. Exhibiting good game-wear, stick marks are seen over the lower front, both sleeves and the reverse while small board burns and unrepaired holes/cuts are observed over each sleeve near each cuff with three holes on the right and one cut on the left. Additional wear is found through sweat stains at the armpits and a small stain near the right cuff. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #134457276 (December 1st, 2011 vs Florida) to the hole and stain seen near the right cuff. A matching Steiner LOA will accompany the jersey that incorrectly lists it as game-issued and not game-worn.
