Drafted 20th overall in 2008 by the Blueshirts, Michael Del Zotto has suited up in over 700 games during his National Hockey League career and spent his first five seasons in Manhattan as a member of the Rangers. Offered here, is this jersey worn by Del Zotto during New York’s “Opening Day” (January 20th, 2013) game vs the Pittsburgh Penguins. Made by Reebok, a size “56” flag tag is affixed to the collar displaying a small handwritten “1” in black ink, with a Rangers barcode affixed above along with a Steiner hologram while NHL and Reebok crests are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. The front of the tie-neck jersey is decorated with “Rangers” diagonally down the chest in red-over-white drop-shadow tackle twill while Del Zotto’s number “4” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material. “Del Zotto” is spelt across the affixed arching nameplate on the reverse. Worn for just a single game, the jersey shows very light wear through light stick marks to the left sleeve and lower hem as well as a pair of board burns near the left cuff as well. Of note, a couple of light stains not associated with game-use are also present over the lower front as well. A matching Steiner LOA will accompany the piece.
