Originally established in the mid-1800s, the Ottawa Star lacrosse club was especially prominent throughout the late 19th century. This cabinet photo of the 1910 Star Lacrosse Club features hockey HOFers Clint Benedict and Jack Darragh - with this image of Benedict used for both his C57 (hockey) and C61 (lacrosse) cards. At approx 13" x 17", the photo features composite bust-length images of each team member, with the photographer Pittaway listed over the bottom right. There is a bit of light surface wear to the image, including a stain over the "10" of "1910", with the photo framed to full dimensions of approx 17" x 21". From the Brent Sobie antique hockey and baseball collection.
