Currently serving as general manager of SaiPa in his native Finland, Jussi Markkanen played extensively in various European professional leagues both before and after his NHL career. Selected in the fifth round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Markkanen spent the majority of his NHL time with Edmonton. This Oilers jersey was worn by the netminder in 2003-04, towards the end of the season, where he saw action in seven games after returning to the club from the Rangers. An Elite label with "Goalie Style" and size “58” tags sit along the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with the familiar tear-drop Oilers team crest, the jersey has been accented with tri-layer tackle twill numbers along with matching oil rig patches over each shoulder. The club’s 25th anniversary patch is also present, situated over the right breast. Game-wear is light, with just a few small marks visible. The team patch sits on the inside hem next to a MeiGray crest numbered "B03776", and according to the company's population report, the jersey is a "Navy 3rd Regular Season" specimen. An LOA from the Oilers will accompany.
