The oldest franchise in the National Hockey League, having played their first season in 1909, a full 8 years before the NHL as we know it was founded, the Montreal Canadiens have won 24 Stanley Cups in their 113-year history and have had some of the greatest to ever play the game of hockey wear their uniform. Offered here, is this lot of 21 Montreal Canadiens cards ranging from 1952-53 to 1970-71 and featuring names such as Harvey, Geoffrion, Beliveau, Cournoyer and others. Slabbed offerings total ten (10) with the breakdown in chronologically order by year as follows: 1952-53 Parkhurst #14 Doug Harvey (Beckett VERY GOOD+ 3.5), 1953-54 Parkhurst #26 Doug Harvey (Beckett VERY GOOD 3), 1953-54 Parkhurst #29 Boom Boom Geoffrion (PSA EX 5), 1954-55 Parkhurst #14 Doug Harvey (Beckett EXCELLENT+ 5.5), 1958-59 Parkhurst #49 Doug Harvey (Beckett EXCELLENT 5), 1959-60 Parkhurst #8 Doug Harvey (Beckett VG-EX 4), 1961-62 Parkhurst #35 Boom Boom Geoffrion (Beckett EXCELLENT+ 5.5), 1962-63 Parkhurst #53 Boom Boom Geoffrion (Beckett VG-EX 4), 1967-68 Topps #70 Yvon Cournoyer (Beckett NEAR MINT 7) and 1970-71 Dad’s Cookies #111 Henri Richard (Beckett NM-MT+ 8.5). The rest of the cards, totalling 11, are ungraded examples once again featuring HOFers such as Harvey, Beliveau and Henri Richard as well as Don Marshall, Phil Goyette, Jean Guy Talbot, Marcel Bonin and Albert Langlois with the grades falling in the range GD to VG-EX and the cards dating between 1955-56 and 1967-68. The holders all display in good condition with just light scratches and scuffs worth noting.
