Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023

The Calder Memorial winner in 2017 for his impressive rookie campaign of 69 points in 82 games, Auston Matthews has won consecutive Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophies as the NHL's leading goal scorer, with All-Star Game appearances in every season played thus far (the 2021 All-Star Game was cancelled due to Covid). This signed and photo-matched stick was used by Matthews during the 2019-20 National Hockey League season, specifically in the Oct 19th match vs Boston, where he earned a single assist. A CCM JetSpeed FT2 model with “Matthews” factory graphics over the shaft, Auston’s original white tape job is found over the blade while a Lizard Skins grip with “Matthews 34” graphics is wrapped around the handle/knob. A handwritten cross is found on the backside of the grip, along with "G9" for 9th game of the season. The stick exhibits good game-use with puck marks found on the taped area of the front and reverse blade. There is also a small stain. Matthews has signed the front side blade in blue marker, with the signature displaying well. Getty Image #1182477478 has been matched to the dark mark near the heel of the blade, with the exact shape, size and placement identical, with the two tears at the toe edge of the blade tape also visible.
