Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Usually depicting the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens in the Original Six era, offered here is this K&B Toys example depicting the results of the 1955 World Ice Hockey Championships on its sides. Measuring approx. 28 ¼” x 18 ½” x 3 ¼”, the game is made of wood and pressed wood construction with the surface featuring the particulars of a hockey rink. Unique due to its non-NHL graphics, the sides of the table display the finishing positions of the 1955 World Hockey Championships. Sporting metal players that look oddly like their wearing the uniforms of Montreal and Toronto, three of the Toronto imposters are unaccounted for. The original metal nets are seen at each end and the original puck is also included as is the original box. In overall good condition, the game could benefit from a good cleaning. All the rods move freely and without issue and the edges so some minor wear and tear. The original box shows tears and holes throughout, but makes for an excellent display.
Please note, it cannot be guaranteed that the game included in the lot is complete and as such is being sold "AS IS" and is ineligible for return.
