The 4th overall pick at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues, Alex Pietrangelo was a mainstay in the Blues lineup for 12 seasons, leading them to their first Stanley Cup in 2019. From his last season in a Blues uniform, this particular puck was used by Pietrangelo to score his 2nd goal of the 2019-20 season and the 95th of his career. Slung behind the goaltender at 7:51 of the 3rd period with assists being provided by David Perron and Sammy Blias, the goal would be the game-winner in the October 7th contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs in Toronto, with the final score ending up 3-2. Additionally, the goal would serve as Pietrangelo’s 400th career point and be his 23rd game-winning goal, passing Al MacInnis for most by a Blues defenceman. The “Official Game Puck” sports a Leafs logo on the obverse with the NHL shield featured on the opposite face while tape has been added along the side, displaying handwritten notations reading “STL 3 #27 3PER OCT 7/19” while a Leafs hologram has also been affixed. Exhibiting moderate-to-heavy surface wear with scuffs/abrasions over both sides, the heaviest of which is seen to the Leafs logo and the ring around it. The puck will come in a Leafs holder with the particulars all listed on an accompanying COA.
