The second year Parkies available here as part of this near complete set are void of just four examples with the other 101 presenting with many condition issues to report including creasing and heavy corner wear. Headlined by the names of Howe, Richard and Sawchuk, all three show heavy creasing with Howe having significant edge dings at the left hand side while both him and Richard have staining to speak of over the front and reverse with The Rocket also heavily off-centered. Key rookie examples are present including #51 George Armstrong and #58 Tim Horton. The Armstrong is one on the better key cards condition wise, remaining in the vicinity of VG with just corner wear to speak of while Horton’s first year offering in our opinion is G/VG with a couple creases and some foxing observed. Other noteworthy stars include 3-Geoffrion, 10-Moore, 14-Harvey and 87-Lindsay all in the same G/VG scope with all showing corner wear and Moore, Harvey and Lindsay all showing creases. Missing cards 22-Rayner, 45-Smith, 49-Reise and 99-Raleigh, around two dozen or so of the included 101 making up the partial set remain crease free while still showing other issues with however around thirty (30) real low unsightly grade examples also present.
For the group of extras, sixty two (62) are included, much in the same condition as their counterparts and are headlined by a group of stars that features a PR condition Gordie Howe that is virtually missing its top left corner and is heavily creased through the middle along with 3-Geoffrion (G/VG), 14-Harvey (G/VG), 53-Delvecchio (PR), 67-Kelly (G) and 86-Sawchuk (G/VG). Once again, the key rookies of Maple Leafs teammates George Armstrong and Tim Horton are accounted for with both in the F/G condition range. Additionally, a 1953-54 Parkhurst Terry Sawchuk is included, displaying around G condition and showing a crease. The remaining group of extras, all in low grade condition with many very much worse for ware, includes about 10 that are crease free but are not free from other issues such as heavy corner wear and staining.
