Mirroring the size and design of the '51-52 Laval Dairy cards which feature members of the Quebec Senior Hockey League, this group pictures players who toiled for senior teams located in the lower St. Lawrence River region of Quebec, (Bas du Fleuve), and situated in Riviere-du-Loup, Matane, Mont-Joli and Rimouski. Most notable are goaltender Denis Brodeur, father of future Hall-of-Famer Martin Brodeur, and Ossie Carnegie and Fredericton, New Brunswick native Manny McIntyre, two-thirds of the famous colored line, centered by Herbie Carnegie, which starred in the 1940s for the Sherbrooke Saints. Near complete with 55 of the 58 cards present, the low-grade offering feature many with tape marks while the missing cards include those of 1-Poirier, 8-Laroche and 11-Lapointe.
