Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023

Appearing in a trio of AHL All-Star contests, netminder Jean-Marc Pelletier was drafted by Philadelphia in 1997, and played in just 3 NHL games in his career. From the 2002-03 season where Pelletier backstopped two AHL clubs while also seeing NHL action in 2 games with Phoenix, we have a photo-matched blocker and glove combo worn in the NHL preseason with Carolina, along with a second game-used blocker. Vaughn (blocker) and KOHO (glove) models in Hurricanes colour scheme, the blocker has "Pelletier" embroidered, with the pair showing good game-use including numerous puck marks and wear to the pocket of the glove. There is also a small hole to one of the fingers on the blocker. Getty Image #1474290 (Oct 4, 2002 preseason game vs Washington) has been matched to marks across the face of the blocker, along with the "AHP" handwritten on the wrist guard of the glove. The second Vaughn glove is from the same era and most likely originates with his time with Carolina or possibly the AHL's Lowell Lock Monsters, with nice use shown including numerous puck marks.
