Involved in trades for over 20 players throughout his career, Bob Bailey dressed for three different NHL clubs, including Toronto, Chicago and Detroit. This lot includes a pair of Bailey's Standard Player's contracts including his 1952-53 Cleveland Barons AHL contract signed by deceased HOFer James Hendy and 1953-54 Toronto Maple Leafs NHL rookie contract signed by deceased HOFers Clarence Campbell, Hap Day and King Clancy. First, the Leaf contract calls for a salary of $7000.00 for the 1953-54 season, with Day, Campbell and Clancy all signing in dark ink, with the signatures flawless, while the 1952-53 Barons contract called for a salary of $3000.00, with Hendy signing in dark blue ink, again with no issues for the signature. The documents themselves show just the usual fold lines. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
