Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Substantial bucks will be required to become the new owner of these “bucks,” with the Canadian dollar bill-like collectibles originally found in packs of 1962-63 Topps hockey cards and this captivating ensemble boasting substantial importance. Our title informs of the tempting culminative statistics, with the enticing details as follows. Three examples that merited NM 7 recognition are second-to-none on their respective “lines” of the famous PSA Population Report, with that picturing Gump Worsley standing out as a peerless Pop 1. Pop 2s with none higher and also at NM 7 are Reggie Fleming and Elmer Vasko bucks, with legends Glenn Hall and Stan Mikita (Pop 1, with just one higher) highlighting the other NM 7 contingent, completed by Red Hay, Murray Oliver and Andy Bathgate, the latter with an (MC) qualifier, similar to Albert Langlois’ NM-MT 8 specimen. Half a dozen slabbed EX-MT 6 are Balon, Bucyk, Green, Howell, Ingarfield and Toppazzini, while at EX-MT 6 (MC) are Hebenton and McDonald. Bobby Hull and Pierre Pilote contribute in EX 5 form, while completing are a pair of VG-EX 4s; Godfrey and Prentice, McKenney at VG 3 and Boivin and Mohns at GOOD 2 (with the latter erroneously picturing Bruce Gamble). The years-in-the-works project has an (improvable!) set rating of 5.74 and will be a sensational addition to your high grade vintage repertoire. Scuffs and scratches to the front and back of the PSA holders are to be aware of but should not deter the enthusiasm to secure such a special assembly.
