Hailing from those 2014 Olympics, we have this Team Austria captain’s jersey worn by Vanek. A size “62” garment, the Nike logo sits screened-on the inside collar above an IIHF label, with an additional Nike swoosh present over the right breast. Featuring a heat-pressed Team Austria crest over the front, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have been accented with Vanek’s “26” in single and dual-layer tackle twill numbers. with the back letters heat-pressed directly onto the nameplate. A black captain’s “C” has been sewn over the left breast while the all-important Sochi 2014 crest is found over the reverse hem. Austria wore their red jerseys in two of the four games played (February 13th vs Finland and February 16th vs Norway) with the jersey worn by Vanek in either or both of these contests. The jersey exhibits black marks over each sleeve, the right shoulder and lower front. A Nike barcode is found on the interior reverse hem. Additionally, Vanek has signed the back number “2” with a black ink signature that displays without issue.
