San Jose’s first round draft choice at the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Jeff Jillson would play 140 games in the NHL over the course of his career with San Jose, Boston and Buffalo. Presented here, is this Rochester Americans jersey worn by Jillson while toiling in the AHL during the 2005-06 season, the franchise’s 50th anniversary. Made by Reebok, brand and size “56” tagging is affixed to the inner collar with Reebok logos found at the reverse neckline and lower hem, along with the AHL logo. A tie-up neck style jersey, the front is styled with the Amerk’s classic crest with gold stars in recognition of their golden anniversary. A sponsorship patch resides over the right breast with dual layer white and gold tackle twill stars found over the shoulders, lower front and reverse and sleeves. The sleeves and verso have Jillson’s number “2” sewn on in dual layer tackle twill with “Jillson” spelt across the affixed nameplate in matching style. Exhibiting good game-use, board burns are found at the bottom of the front crest and on each sleeve while the right sleeve and lower reverse show unrepaired holes. Pilling is found at each cuff and the lower reverse. A MeiGray group patch sits over the interior hem.
