This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
An interesting grouping of items hailing from the rough and tough rivalry days of the Chicago Black Hawks and St. Louis Blues is presented here though this lot consisting of various items including a pair of 1980s Black Hawks practice jerseys, pants shells and training jackets for both teams and other various memorabilia. Starting with the practice jerseys once donned by players of the Windy City club, both are made by CCM with the Black Hawks famed Indian head crest screen printed over the front with CCM logos embroidered over the reverse hem of each. Red and black in colour and both displaying a handwritten size “54” designation in ballpoint pen on the Maska tag affixed to the inner collar of each, the jerseys remain in good condition with only light wear and board burns seen on each with the fight straps still present on the interior. The pant shells, once again both CCM made offerings with one from both the Blues and Black Hawks present, both show board burns, stick marks and various wear throughout including rusting to the buttons at the waist, the heaviest being seen on the Blues example. Dating to the mid-to-late-1980s, the Black Hawks logo is sewn to the front of the left leg one that pair while a handwritten “15” player identifier is seen on the inside of the Blues set. Training wear is included for each club as well consisting of a nylon satin Blues jacket made by Rawlings that remains in good condition with light black marks throughout. A Rawlings size “42” tag is found on the interior of the snap front style closure while the Black Hawks garments, a full nylon tracksuit made by Starter with jacket and pants included, measures out to a size large for each piece and also remains in good condition with light marks observed on the backside of the jacket. Other various memorabilia to round out the group includes game pucks for the Black Hawks (Viceroy Rubber and Plastics), Blues (Inglasco Non-Approved) and 1991 All-Star Game hosted by Chicago as well as a 1989-90 Black Hawks team signed calendar and a 10 Stan Mikita and Bobby Hull vintage 1960s/1970s Blackhawks postcards. Hailing from the collection of Lorne Goldenberg, his signed LOA will accompany the items.
