Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Only the third goalie ever selected first overall in the National Hockey League Entry Draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins selected the budding French-Canadian netminder with the lead pick in 2003, with Fleury calling Pittsburgh home for 13 seasons, winning a trio of Stanley Cups in the process and enjoying a Hall of Fame caliber career thus far. An interesting investment opportunity presents itself with this 2003-04 Upper Deck Young Guns rookie card of Marc-Andre that has been graded by Beckett. Deemed worthy of an 8.5 NM-MT+ designation, the card’s four subgrades appear on the back of the holder and include Centering 9.5, Corners 8, Edges 9 and Surface 8.5. Presenting with strong appeal, the card is an excellent opportunity to add to your Penguins/rookie card collection should you be the highest bidder. It should be noted that the Beckett holder shows scratches and scuffs on both sides.
