This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
In only his third NHL season, the stud defenceman of the Boston Bruins, Bobby Orr, would make history by becoming the first defenceman to win the NHL scoring championship, totaling 33 goals and 120 points. The playoffs were also memorable as Bobby scored his famous goal to give Boston its first Stanley Cup title in 29 years. Orr’s Conn Smythe Trophy gave him an unheard-of four major individual awards for the season. A two-card lot, Orr’s 1969-70 issues are featured here having been slabbed by PSA. Card #24 in the set, the card mentions how Bobby was “already the NHL’s “Mr. Everything” and received alluring NM 7 recognition at PSA while sporting light toning but good centering, smooth edges and good corners. Card #212, Orr’s first team all-star card is also included and has scorer even higher, with PSA granting it a NM-MT 8 designation, showing with bright colours, sharp corners and clean surfaces. Sure to be welcome additions to any high end Orr collection, the PSA holders remain in good condition with just light scratches observed.
