Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

One of the team’s brightest lights during his 8-plus seasons in Chicago after being acquired via trade from the New York Rangers in March 1994, Tony Amonte averaged better than 30 goals a year with the Black Hawks, including 44 goals in 1998-99, his highest career total. Hailing from the mid-1990s, we offer this Chicago Blackhawks jersey worn by Amonte. Made by CCM, a Maska Ultrafil label and a size “54” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the traditional multi-coloured Indian head team crest with chain-stitched detailing, "10” appears over the sleeve and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Amonte” spelt across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer white twill letters while matching chain-stitched tomahawk crests reside over each shoulder. A Sports Registry bar code is affixed on the inside of the jersey at the bottom of the reverse “0” with “BAR” handwritten in black marker along the top of the fight strap that shows evidence of numerous washings via red discolouration to the velcro. Sporting good game-wear, dark stick marks are found throughout the lower front and reverse as well as the sleeves with numerous team repairs found over the sleeves, front and reverse as well, many of which are material backed. Board burns are seen over the sleeves with the interior of the jersey showing pilling at the elbows, behind the nameplate and underneath the fight strap.
