Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
From a special time in hockey history, when the World Hockey Association arrived on the scene, is O-Pee-Chee's 1972-73 card set, with the assembly here not high grade but respectable and surely acceptable with VG to VG-EX entries showing up more often and some lower and better representatives also present with close to 100 cards in EX condition or so. The second year cards of 145-Dryden and 8-Dionne (wax stain) are in the VG-EX to EX vicinity while the 59-Lafleur has a number of small creases in its lower front and is G-VG. The cards of Hall of Famers 14-Clarke, 58-Orr and 111-Esposito are in the VG to VG-EX range while those of fellow inductees 129-Orr (rounded corners), 227-Orr/Park (crease) and 336-Hull (soft corners/crease) are in lower grades and in the G to VG scope. Cards 92-Plante and 190-checklist are amongst the nicest of the group and in the EX+ to EX-MT vicinity. The checklists #6 and #19 exhibit good bending from elastic bands and have wear to their corners (G to VG) with checklist #334 in slightly better condition but having two small creases in the lower left corner area. There are approximately 65 cards with a crease (or creases). A fun trip back in time awaits the new owner.
