Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

For the fifth time in nine years, the 1955 World Series was an all–New York affair with “Dem Bums”, the Brooklyn Dodgers facing off against the New York Yankees. Jackie Robinson and the Dodgers won the series in seven games, marking the end of a long period of invulnerability for the Yankees as it was their first World Series defeat since 1942 and only the second since 1926. To our delight, we offer this beautiful 1955 World Series Game 4 Ebbets Field ticket stub. Taking place on October 1st, Brooklyn tied the series at two games a piece with an 8-5 win on the backs of home runs by Roy Campanella, Gil Hodges and Duke Snider. The Lower Stand seat lists “1955 World Series” and “Game 4”, along with the original listed price of $7.35. Encased in an iCert holder and deemed “authentic” the stub displays admirably with toning and a pin hole in the middle worth mentioning along with a small pen mark underneath.
