Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
A veteran of 19 NHL seasons, Adam Oates is considered one of the game’s all-time greatest playmakers, with his 1,079 career points placing him seventh all-time. We have a stick used by the 2012 HOF inductee during his time with the Washington Capitals in the early-2000s with this specific model being used during the 1999-00, 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons. A Sher-Wood PMP 9950 model with “Handcrafted exclusively for Adam Oates 77” factory graphics on the underside of the shaft with a similar graphic seen on the top, Oates original black tape job resides over the blade with white spiraled over the handle and knob. The stick exhibits light game-use with marks to the lower shaft as well as the heel. A crack/chip is seen near where the shaft bends into the blade but does not affect the structural integrity of the stick.
