Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

Successful at every level throughout his lengthy two-decade career in professional hockey, Rob Blake earned a James Norris Trophy along with a Stanley Cup, with gold medals won while representing Canada at the World Championships and Winter Olympics. This stick was used by the star defender during his time with the Los Angeles Kings in the late-1990s/early-2000s, with this specific model of stick seeing use in his competent hands from approx 1998 to 2002. A Bauer Supreme model with “R Blake” stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retains the original black cloth wrap over white on the handle while the blade tape has been removed to facilitate a beautiful black ink signature that Blake has penned, with the autograph displaying well with a light area at the end. A handwritten “3” is also found over the top of the knob (we sold a matching model previously with “22” handwritten to the knob with this maybe signifying the 3rd game of the season). Exhibiting light game-use, marks are seen near the heel of the heel as well as remains of the original tape job on the bottom of the blade with numerous marks/abrasions also seen on the shaft.
