Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
The first overall selection at the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, Mike Modano spent his entire career with the Minnesota/Dallas franchise, with just 40 games played for the Detroit Red Wings during his final season. The eight-time All-Star also represented the US internationally. From the mid-to-late-2000s, we have a signed stick used by the superstar, with this specific type of model seeing use in both 2006-07 and 2007-08. A Warrior Dolomite model with “M. Modano” factory graphics, a production code stamp is found on the underside of the shaft. With Modano’s black tape job over the blade and handle/knob, the stick exhibits light game-use with a slightly sticky shaft, puck marks seen on both sides of the blade and the tape ripped along the underside near the heel. Additionally, Modano has signed the frontside blade with a silver ink signature that displays well.
