Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/14/2022
Combining the longevity of Gordie Howe with the goal scoring touch of Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr serves as one of the greatest players the game has ever witnessed, with his 34 seasons of professional hockey the most in history. From his Art Ross winning season of 2000-01, in which he registered 52 goals/121 points, we have a stick used by the superstar during his time with Pittsburgh. A KOHO ABS CAP model with “Jagr” stamped on the upper shaft and barely legible, the stick retains the original black tape over the blade and handle where a handwritten “3” is found in black marker on the single red strand. “1737-12” is handwritten along the inserted KOHO blade stem. Exhibited game-use is moderate with wear to the taped section of the blade in the form of a tears to the bottom which also reveals a crack. Marks and abrasions are also found on the shaft of the stick.
