This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Making his National Hockey League debut on October 1, 2013, Luke Gazdic would find the back of the net only 2:21 into the game for the first goal of the Oilers season and the first of his career. Presented here from his time in Edmonton, is a helmet worn by Gazdic during the 2013-14 season as well as a pair of gloves used by the enforcer the following year, in 2014-15, with both items having been signed. First, the helmet is a Bauer made offering worn by Gazdic during the 2013-14 season. In white with intact strapping and harness, Oilers decals are found over each side with “20” decals affixed to the front crown and lower reverse along with an NHL decal. Good game use is shown with numerous scratches, marks and surface abrasions. Luke has signed the front of the helmet with a blue ink signature that has light wear near the start. An Oilers hologram is affixed near the left ear with an additional team sticker and writing on the interior. The gloves, hailing from the 2014-15 season are Bauer APX2 Pro models in the Oilers orange, blue and white colours with “Bauer” embroidered into the cuff of each along with “Gazdic” over the thumbs. Exhibiting heavy use with rips, fraying and heavy rubbing to the palm, the right palm has a sewn in team patch. Gazdic has signed the cuff of each glove with a black ink signature that appears without issue and the gloves are zip tied together with an Oilers inventory tag with a hologram matching the one found on the helmet. A matching Oilers LOA including both items will accompany.
