A third round draft selection of the Atlanta Flames, making his NHL debut for the club in 1981-82 after relocating to Calgary, Tim Hunter was an especially dominating physical presence on the ice, registering over 3,000 penalty minutes throughout his career. Hunter would be nominated for the King Clancy and Bill Masterton trophies twice, and won a Stanley Cup championship with Calgary in 1989. This Flames jersey was worn by the tough enforcer in 1990-91, where he appeared in 34 regular-season games. A Maska Airknit label with handwritten "50" sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests to the reverse hem. Styled with the classic flaming "C" team crest administered in layered tackle twill, "19" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with "T Hunter" across the affixed nameplate. A second customized loop-style fight strap has also been added to the lower inside front of the jersey, with red reinforcing threading added to the original fight strap. The jersey exhibits great use with numerous marks over the front, reverse and sleeves, along with a few small stains and minor areas of discolouration. There is also a tear beneath the front band.
