Playing his entire HOF career with his hometown Montreal Canadiens, Jacques Lemaire averaged almost a-point-a-game during his NHL tenure, with six 30+ goal seasons. From his final campaign where Lemaire retired as a Stanley Cup champion, tying Guy Lafleur for playoff points leader with 23 in just 16 games, we offer a Canadiens home jersey worn during the 1978 playoffs including the Stanley Cup final! Maska labeling is affixed to the collar, with additional logos on the front and reverse hems. Featuring the classic Habs team crest in tackle twill, "25" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in blue-over-red twill. The garter-style fight strap is intact, and we should note that the Canadiens wore home jerseys with these cream-coloured nameplates in the 1978-79 playoffs and early-on in the following season, but as Lemaire retired at the conclusion of the 1978-79 season after winning the Stanley Cup for a 4th consecutive season, the jersey would not have been worn early-on in the 1979-80 season. Additionally, as the Habs won the Cup at home, this would have been the last jersey Lemaire wore during his noteworthy career. Exhibiting thorough game-use, there are a few marks and stains on the front along with red paint transfer to the sleeves as well as a few scuff marks. Team repairs are also visible, with examples situated on the front (2), and right (5) and left (5) sleeves. An LOA will accompany.
