The final Canadian game of the tournament before the final four contests to be held at Luzhniki Palace of Sports in Moscow, Game 4 of the famed Canada-Russia Series in 1972 took place at Vancouver’s Pacific Coliseum on Sept 8th, with the score concluding 5-3 for the Soviets. Goals by Gilbert Perreault, Bill Goldsworthy and Dennis Hull were not enough, with Boris Mikhailov scoring a pair for the Russians. We offer an original 1972 Canada-Russia Series program and Game 4 full ticket. The program was produced for each of the four Canadian games, with dual flags on the cover along with the original “Two Dollars” purchase price. The 1 ¾” x 5 ½” ticket stub lists the game, date, venue and seat, along with the $7.00 cover price, with advertising on the reverse from CCM. The program exhibits toning along the edges of the cover as well as a crease to the bottom right corner, while the ticket exhibits numerous creases. Both the program and ticket originate from the collection of Karl Hellman, who worked with 'NTL Sports Prod' for Hockey Canada and was involved with the production of the programs.
