Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
The only Detroit Tiger to homer over the left-field roof at Tiger Stadium, Cecil Fielder enjoyed a lengthy career that included parts of seven seasons in Motor City before being traded to the Bronx Bombers on July 31, 1996, with the Babe Ruth Award won while helping the Yankees capture the World Series. From his closing days in Detroit, we have a signed left cleat worn by “Big Daddy” during the mid-1990s, with this specific type of model shoe worn in both 1995 and 1996 before his transition to The Big Apple. A Reebok model with some of the orange accents appearing painted on, the size 13 shoe with intact lacing shows light to moderate wear, with Fielder adding a thin dark ink signature within an orange accent on the right side along with his number, with a bit of wear/fading to the signature.
