This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club's comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
Patrick Roy and the Canadiens consistently defied the odds during their run to the Stanley Cup Final in 1993 as Lord Stanley’s Mug celebrated its centennial Offered here is a large framed photo display capturing the excitement on the ice following the Game 5 triumph on home ice. The frame itself does have some scuffs and indentations, which is understandable since it was on display in hockey’s revered temple. On the reverse, there are some tears in the backing paper. However, that should not diminish your enjoyment of this piece! Direct from the archives of the Montreal Canadiens, this framed display was likely displayed at the Montreal Forum and possibly later on at the Molson Centre/Bell Centre. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included. Please note that due to the size and/or weight, THIS ITEM CAN ONLY BE PICKED-UP AND NOT SHIPPED.
