Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Combining strong physical play with exceptional scoring abilities to serve as the only player in NHL history with over 600 goals and 2,000 penalty minutes, Brendan Shanahan won a trio of Stanley Cup championships with Detroit, along with gold medals at the World Championships, Canada Cup and Winter Olympics while representing Canada. This signed stick was used by Shanahan in the late-1990s with the Red Wings. An Easton Classic Silver Tip model, “Shanahan” is stamped to the stem of the inserted wooden Easton blade, with the original black tape over the blade and handle. Heavy game-use is shown, with wear to the taped section of blade (a few strands are missing) and darkening to the shaft. Shanahan has added a blue marker signature to the heel section, and it displays well.
