Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Arguably the most famous image in hockey history, we have a wonderful representation of that historic moment that occurred in overtime of Game 4 of the 1970 Stanley Cup finals, with a framed photo of “The Goal” signed by legendary superstar Bobby Orr, accompanied by a second signed and framed photo. At approx 16” x 20” and forever captured by the camera’s eye, the black and white image pictures Orr in mid-flight, with his large blue marker signature added beneath absolutely flawless. Double-matted and framed to full dimensions of roughly 19 ½” x 23 ½”, a COA from GNR is affixed to the reverse. The second photo is 8” x 10” and depicts Orr dominating the Chicago Black Hawks with his trusty Victoriaville, signed in blue sharpie and framed to 13” x 16”, with no issues for the signature.
