Following in the footsteps of their football counterparts, winning a championship for the Tampa Bay area in just the club's 12th season of existence, the Tampa Bay Lightning finished second overall behind Detroit at the conclusion of the 2003-04 NHL season. Defeating the Islanders, Canadiens and Flyers en route to the Stanley Cup finals, the Lightning would defeat Calgary in seven games to claim the franchise's first of three championships. This 2004 Tampa Bay Lightning Stanley Cup champions 10K gold and diamond ring was presented to a staffer named "Rosell".
Size 10 with an approx weight of 38 grams, a raised Stanley Cup with lightning bolt encrusted with blue and white diamonds sits centered over additional diamonds on the tableau, flanked by "Stanley Cup" and "Champions". The right shank sports a Lightning logo with "Stanley Cup", with "Rosell" above and "Staff" below, while the left shank has an NHL shield logo with the results of all four playoff series, with "Tampa Bay Lightning" above and "1st Championship" below. The inner band is stamped "Intergold" and "10K". Showing wear from use with scratches to the band, shanks and bezel, there are also a few nicks visible along edges of the band, as well as a couple larger gouges. A more affordable example of the rings offered in 2004, the top specimens differ slightly, with those in 14K as opposed to 10K, with an additional perimeter of diamonds to the bezel and “GOOD IS THE ENEMY OF GREAT”, “SAFE IS DEATH JUNE 7 2004” engraved to the inner band.
