Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

Skating his whole career for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ron Ellis would win a Stanley Cup championship with the blue and white in 1967, with four All-Star Game appearances made throughout his 16 NHL seasons. We have a stick used by the 1972 Summit Series Team Canada member in 1964-65, and it’s been team-signed by the Leafs. A CCM Pattern Made Custom Pro, “Ellis” is stamped to the upper shaft, with the original black tape across the blade and knob. One side of the shaft has been signed by approx 12 in ballpoint, with a handful quite faded. Signers include HOFers Sawchuk (a bit light), Horton (pale), Keon (pale), Bathgate, Armstrong, Stanley and Dickie Moore, along with Stewart, Brewer, Baun (with personalization) and others. The stick shows light game-use, with the striping accent intact and a crack to the blade beneath the tape.
