An AHCA East First-Team All-American during his time at Boston University, goaltender John Curry backstopped the Terriers from 2003-04 to 2006-07, and was later a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins 2009 Stanley Cup championship. This photo-matched mask was worn by Curry during the championship game at the 54th annual Beanpot Tournament held at the TD Banknorth Garden on February 13, 2006 in Boston, Massachusetts. The Boston University Terriers defeated the Boston College Eagles, 3-2. An Itech model with intact strapping, cage and backplate, “Boston 36” appears over the chin section, with school logos over each lower side and a vicious terrier over the forehead section, “Curry” also resides over the base of the backplate. The mask exhibits moderate to heavier use, with a number of scratches visible and chips to the surface over the chin, with the strapping also showing considerable wear and tear. Getty Image #53303130 (February 14, 2005) has been matched to the large scratch on the right side, while Getty Image #53303091 (February 14, 2005) has been matched to a few chips on the chin of the mask.
