Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Remembered for the career-ending injury suffered at the hands of legendary hard-as-nails defenceman Eddie Shore, Ace Bailey enjoyed eight seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs and serves as the first player in all of professional sports to have his jersey number retired and was inducted into the HHOF in 1975. Offered here is this CCM “Classic Sweaters” Toronto St. Pats jersey with a cut signature from Bailey embedded into the back number. Remaining in new-with-tags condition, size “XL” CCM tagging decorates the interior collar with a jock tag found near the lower hem. The front of the thick woven sweater is styled with “Toronto St. Pats” in layered green and white felt letters. The back features Bailey’s number “6” in white felt with a cut signature from the hockey legend embedded into the bottom while “CCM” is embroidered into the rear hem. The auto has been signed in black fountain pen and displays without issue. A hologram has been affixed above while a JSA LOA will accompany the piece.
