Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
The all-time points leader for the Chicago Blackhawks franchise, Stan Mikita rose to stardom as the club won a Stanley Cup title in 1961. Throughout the rest of the decade and into the 1970s, he perennially ranked among the NHL’s top scorers and regularly added hardware to his trophy case. An icon in the Windy City, he retired early in the 1979-80 season and was welcomed to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983, and later passed in 2018. This Black Hawks jersey has been signed by the skilled face-off specialist. A Fanatics model with “XL” sizing along with a partially synthetic team crest and tackle twill numbers, Mikita has signed the reverse “2” in silver paint pen, with the bold signature absolutely flawless. Three holograms have been placed at the base, with a COA to accompany.
