Starring players from the Maple Leafs, Canadiens and Maroons and featuring several legends, O-Pee-Chee's 1937-38 V304 Series "E" release was the fifth and final series from the company for the decade and was among the last of Canada's pre-war hockey card offerings. Featuring a total of forty-eight (48) cards in it's checklist, offered here is this starter set of the desirable release that includes a total of twenty-three (23) different cards from set as well as a group of thirteen (13) extras. Including key examples of cards such as those of 138-Conacher (x3 - one around FR to G with an ink "#138" on the reverse and light creases, one around G to VG with a small corner crease and wear and one around VG with corner wear), 150-Siebert (FR to G - ink "#150" on the reverse), 173-Marker (VG to VG-EX - light corner wear) and 175-Voss (PR to F - writing on the reverse and creases). For the rest of the cards, the starter set includes two (2) cards around VG to VG-EX, four (4) cards around G to VG, five (5) cards in the scope of GOOD, three (3) cards in the vicinity of FR to G and finally, four (4) cards seen as being in the neighbourhood of POOR. For the rest of the duplicates, two (2) cards present around VG-EX to EX, one (1) card around VG-EX, two (2) cards around G to VG, four (4) cards seen as being FR to G, a lone (1) card in the scope of PR to F and one (1) card that we have labeled as "Authentic" due to having a corner ripped off at some point.
