Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Selected by clubs in both the NHL and WHA drafts of 1973, Peter Marrin was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Toros respectively, and chose to dress for the Toros, staying with the club for six seasons – which included three as the Toros, and three as the later Birmingham Bulls. This inaugural-season Bulls jersey was worn by the Toronto native in 1976-77, where he scored an impressive 60 points in 79 games. A partially-detached Russell Athletic label and sewn-down Hibbett tag are affixed to the collar, with the vintage mesh sweater measuring-out to roughly a size 46. The Bulls team crest, striping bands and “20” over the sleeves and verso have all been rubberized, with “Marrin” sewn to the affixed nameplate in single white twill. Sporting nice game-use which includes wear to the rubberized band over the front, a few board burns are visible over the sleeves, with a small hole at the top of the front band. Two large team repairs are also present, with one over each sleeve.
