Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Adopting a number of locales and monikers throughout their history, the WHL’s Seattle Thunderbirds were crowned Western Hockey League champions in 2017, and currently play at the accesso ShoWare Center. We have a pair of Thunderbirds jerseys, with an alternate captain’s example worn by Chris Wells during the early-to-mid-1990s, accompanied by a late-1990s alternate jersey worn by Shane Endicott. Differing in style, the Wells jersey sports Maska labeling with a “56” size tag while the Endicott has Bauer Pro labeling with “58” sizing, with embroidered CHL crests on the reverse hem of each. Featuring tackle twill team crests and numbers, the Endicott also includes matching alternate crests sewn to each shoulder, and he has added a black marker signature to the interior crest. Both garments show heavy game-use with a number of puck and stick marks covering the front and sleeves, with a few slits on the lower right sleeve on the Endicott jersey, and team repairs on each sleeve of the Wells jersey.
