Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
The NHL’s all-time leading scorer upon his retirement in 1954, Elmer Lach spent his entire HOF career with his hometown Montreal Canadiens, winning a trio of Stanley Cup championships along with both the Art Ross and Hart Memorial Trophies. This lot features a trio of items signed by the five-time All-Star including a Canadiens jersey and two framed photos. First, the jersey was produced by CCM with “XXL” sizing and tackle twill team crest and numbers, with Lach adding a blue marker signature to the reverse “6”, with some bleeding to the signature occurring. Next, the signed photos are both black and white 8” x 10” examples, with one picturing Lach on the shoulders of his teammates, signed in silver with “HOF 66” added, framed to 10” x 12”, while the second is an action image, signed in blue marker, matted and framed to just over 12” x 15”. We should also note that the jersey was previously framed, with a few pin holes visible. A hologram has also been affixed to the reverse "6", with a matching COA to accompany.
