Once the record holder for the second-longest point streak by an American-born player in the NHL, Ed Olczyk was selected 3rd overall by his hometown Chicago Black Hawks in 1984 and spent his first and last career stints in the Windy City. Olczyk also won a Stanley Cup championship with the New York Rangers, in 1994. This photo-matched Black Hawks jersey was worn by Olczyk in 1998-99, where he appeared in 61 games. Nike (size 54), Center Ice and "Made in Canada" labels sit affixed to the collar, with NHL and Nike crests sewn over the reverse hem ("98 6" is handwritten on the reverse of the NHL shield). Styled with an absolutely gorgeous chain-stitched multi-coloured Indian head team crest, the solid red V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching chain-stitched Tomahawk alternate crests over each shoulder. An LOA from the Black Hawks will accompany.
Showing nice game-use with marks and board burns over each sleeve, there are also four team repairs near the right elbow. Pilling is visible in numerous areas as well. Getty Image #395370 (Nov 28. 1998) has been matched to the black mark in the white band on the left elbow.
