Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Chosen by the Winnipeg Jets at the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, Boris Mironov first gained seasoning in his native Russia with CSKA Moscow, and would return to his country for a trio of seasons to end his career. Mironov saw action with four different NHL clubs throughout his career including in Chicago where this Black Hawks alternate captain’s jersey was worn during the 2000-01 NHL season. A label is affixed to the collar along with a size “58” fly tag, with NHL and KOHO crests on the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively (“2” is handwritten to the reverse of the NHL crest). Styled with the classic and gorgeous partially chain-stitched Indian head team crest, “2” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with matching tomahawk crests over each shoulder. The Black Hawks 75th anniversary crest resides over the right breast, and we should note that it shows evidence of being removed and repositioned. Exhibiting heavier game-use with considerable wear over the sleeves, there are burns with a small slit on the right sleeve along with four team repairs, with an additional six team repairs near the left elbow section.
