Two of the integral components crucial to the success of the Colorado Avalanche at the 2001 Stanley Cup finals, Patrick Roy and Ray Bourque also represented the North Americans at the 2001 NHL All-Star Game. This lot contains a Roy game-issued stick from the 2000-01 championship season team-signed by members of Team North America, accompanied by a Bourque 2001 All-Star pro stock team-signed jersey. First, the stick is a KOHO 500 model with “P. Roy” stamped, with a date code of “20 Sept 2000” on the underside. Approx 18 have signed the front side blade and paddle in black marker including Brett Hull, Martin Brodeur, Patrick Roy, Simon Gagne, Bill Guerin, Theoren Fleury, Doug Weight, Jason Allison and others, with the signatures presenting well. The All-Star Game jersey has CCM labeling along the collar with “56” sizing, with a tackle twill NHL shield crest and All-Star Game crest over the right breast. Bourque has signed the first reverse “7” in black marker, with eight signing within the front white band including Bourque, along with others signing within the blue area, with the signatures very hard to see. Signers include Martin Brodeur, Luc Robitaille, Joe Sakic, Scott Stevens, Patrick Roy and others. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
