Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Featuring the 16 NHL teams that competed during the early-1970s, this lot offers a set of Biltrite pucks produced from 1972 to 1974, accompanied by a pair of plastic display plaques. Each puck sports a rubberized team logo along with a rubberized NHL reverse, with specimens present for Original Six clubs Montreal, Toronto, Boston, New York, Chicago and Detroit, along with Vancouver, St Louis, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, California, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Buffalo and New York. The majority of the pucks display well, with many having toning to the labels and a crudely added letter in white paint over the reverse. Some also show glue residue, with each removable from the plaques. The plaques themselves are 11 ½” x 12” and feature the NHL logo, with each exhibiting moderate to heavier wear with some cracking to the plastic and small areas of material loss. One is also almost separated from it's backing.
