Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Just their third season since joining the NHL as an expansion club in 1967, the Philadelphia Flyers would finish 5th in the West in 1969-70, with rookie Bobby Clarke securing 46 points scored over his first 76 NHL contests. This Flyers photo has been team-signed by the 1969-70 club. At 8” x 10”, the glossy-stock black and white image pictures the full squad in the typical team pose, with the player’s listed beneath. 20 have signed the image over the lower section in mixed inks (there’s 21 signatures, with Fleming signing twice), including Clarke, Parent, Ed Van Impe, Andre Lacroix, Reg Fleming, Simon Nolet, Jean-Guy Gendron, Doug Favell, Bill Sutherland, Larry Hillman, Garry Peters, Wayne Hillman, Dick Cherry, Lew Morrison and others. The signatures present well, with some creasing and surface lines to the photo itself.
