This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Selected second overall behind countryman Alexander Ovechkin at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Evgeni Malkin earned the Calder Memorial Trophy for his impressive inaugural NHL season in 2006-07, scoring 85 points in just his first 78 contests. This signed stick saw action in the hands of the talented Russian during his rookie season. A Warrior Dolomite model, “E. Malkin” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with the original white tape over the blade and black on the handle and knob. There is also a worn factory code visible on the underside. Malkin has added a large gold paint pen signature over the front side heel section, and it displays beautifully against the black background. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
Nice use is exhibited on the composite stick, with puck marks and wear to the taped section of blade, with a few marks and surface abrasions to the lower shaft.
