An O-Pee-Chee baseball card field day of sorts here, with cards from the 1960s of particular interest to OPC fans. The star power and condition in 1965 (150)(card totals are approximate), ’66 (75) and ’67 (100+) is somewhat underwhelming, but the stash is most interesting with the lineup and improved condition in cards from ’68 (200) and ’69 (150) where there is duplication and EX-or-better entries looking to dominate. Mays, Aaron, Clemente, Yaz and other stars show up numerous times on regular, league leader and special cards. There’s a drop in condition in 100+ from 1970 and then a mix and some heavy duplication in (200) ‘71s (no high #s). A couple of hundred from ’72 and ’74, and then small amounts of ‘73s, ‘75s, ‘76s and ‘77s, with 500+ from ’78 to ’80 complete. Please see our website for more details and images of the more important contributors.
The stack of 1978 cards includes three Eddie Murray rookies, with 75+ from 1979 and some 300 from 1980 led by the likes of Ryan, Rose, Jackson, Schmidt, Brett and Winfield. Earlier legends include Seaver, Gibson, Carlton, Palmer, the Robinsons, Kaline, Munson, Fisk (RC), Morgan and still others. Cards generally are not in numerical order, with duplication throughout – you’ll be entertained for hours while checking/sorting out this fun find that offers mucho possibilities.
